Editing is where AI footage becomes a video. Assemble on a timeline, trim ruthlessly, and never use the full generated clip — the first and last 8 frames usually contain the worst artefacts.
- Trim heads and tails: cut into the motion, cut out before it degrades.
- Cut on action: a match cut across a movement hides model inconsistency.
- J and L cuts: let audio lead or trail the picture for flow.
- Speed ramps: slow a 6s clip to 8s for weight, or ramp up for energy.
- Grade last: a single LUT or grade across all clips unifies mismatched outputs.
| Problem | Edit-room fix |
|---|---|
| Warping hands mid-clip | Cut away before the warp frame |
| Clip too short | Speed ramp or reverse-loop the tail |
| Colour mismatch | Global grade + per-clip temperature nudge |
| Dead pacing | Shorten every clip by 20% and re-watch |
First cut is always too long. Halve it. The version that feels slightly too fast is usually the right one.

A single grade across all clips does what?
