Generative video sits on top of real people's faces, voices and work. Getting this wrong ends channels and invites lawsuits — the rules are simple enough to just follow.
- Never generate a real person's likeness or voice without written permission.
- Label AI-generated or significantly altered realistic content — most major platforms require it.
- Check the licence of every model and asset for commercial use rights.
- Avoid trademarked logos, characters and brand elements in generated frames.
- Keep a provenance record: prompts, models, dates and source assets per project.
Satire and parody defences vary wildly by country. Synthetic media of real individuals is regulated in many jurisdictions — assume it is not allowed unless you have consent.
