Forex (FX, foreign exchange) is the global market where one currency is exchanged for another. It is the largest financial market in the world, trading trillions of dollars every day, and it has no central exchange — it runs over-the-counter through a network of banks, brokers and liquidity providers.
- Open 24 hours a day, 5 days a week (Sunday evening to Friday evening UTC).
- Traded in pairs — you always buy one currency and sell another.
- Participants: central banks, commercial banks, funds, corporations and retail traders.
- Retail traders access it through a broker using a margin account.
| Session | Approx. hours (UTC) | Character |
